How to Photograph With a 360 Camera

Some of the top photographers in the business have taken great pictures with a 360 camera. There are literally hundreds of different cameras available to the public. What is so special about these cameras is that you can use them in almost any type of environment that you can imagine. You could be photographing in a field or you could be photographing a residential scene or a sports arena. Regardless of where you decide to use one, there are three tips to consider when it comes to capturing images with a 360 camera.

The first thing to consider is your lens. Do you need to focus at a different angle than you normally would? Many people who are new to photography want to do a straight out into the lens with the only constraint being that you will not be able to capture the entire object in one shot. If you are doing this, then make sure that you are comfortable with the distance between your subject and the camera. You may not know what is in front of you or behind you, but the image will not be as nice as it could have been. To add to this, you will need to consider your depth of field, which refers to the distance from the focal point to everything else in the frame.

Another important aspect of photography is the lighting. A 360 camera is no different than other cameras. You will need to consider the lighting in your scene. There are different lighting techniques to consider such as tungsten, fluorescent, spot, and tint. If you do not know what is going on in your scene, then take some time to research it and find a photographer that is knowledgeable and experienced. Don’t try to guess if you don’t know what you are doing. You will often get less than desirable results with these types of cameras.
